Vitrified bond diamond grinding wheels can be used for grinding PCD PCBN cutting tools, CVD tools, MCD tools, carbide, ceramic cutter, milling cutter, reamer, drill and regrinding, etc.

- PCD (Polycrystalline diamond)

Polycrystalline Diamond is diamond grit that has been fused together under high-pressure, high-temperature conditions in the presence of a catalytic metal. The extreme hardness, wear resistance, and thermal conductivity of diamond make it an ideal material for the cutting tools manufacturing.

- PCBN (Polycrystalline cubic boron nitride)

PCBN is simply an acronym for polycrystalline cubic boron nitride which is used in manufacturing high power and intensity tools. This material is created by binding CBN (cubic boron nitride) particles with specific binders that boost strength and resistance to wear.

- MCD (Mono crystalline diamond)

Mono crystalline diamond (MCD) is also called as synthetic single crystal diamond (SCD). It is synthetic diamonds produced by high pressure high -temperature synthesis under tightly controlled growth conditions.

Q & A

1. If I have a PCD cutting tool grinder, can I grinding the cylindrical of reamer?

Recently, we met some customers who were consulting diamond grinding wheel for reamer cylindrical grinding. After inquiring some specific information, we found that these customers all had something in common -- the main reason is: the grinding machine does not match the grinding requirements. For example, the customer has a PCD tool grinding machine, and now he wants to cylindrical grinding the reamer, but there is no special cylindrical grinding machine and do not know what grinding wheel should be matched with grinder.

2. Can our grinder grind the reamer cylindrical?

Yes.

I thought it had to be an automatic grinder to grind the cylindrical, because the domestic customers usually used cylindrical grinding wheel, but we encountered less foreign. 5. Domestic may be a lot of people, who manufacturing the carbide tools originally, estimate they have cylindrical grinder. In addition to the cost, do you think there are any differences in efficiency and accuracy between using a manual tool grinder and an cylindrical grinder?

Cylindrical grinding machine without constant pressure, PCD cutting tools will be broken as grinding wheel blockage. And cylindrical grinding machine cannot be measured the grinding amount by CCD, must be measured by the contact method of thousands of minutes per cent caliper, which requires experienced master operation, otherwise it will be easy to measure PCD collapse!

6. Then the formula of grinding wheel does not need to be changed, right?

6A2 vitrified diamond grinding wheels we sold may be used for grinding cylinder or grinding end face and also for grinding cylinder. Our customers give us the feedback: there is no problem uses the same grinding wheel to grind the cylinder and the edge bevel.
